Hi Folks,
I'm booked to fly in from England on 23rd August. George might be with me. Does anyone want anything from England? Amy, I think it's too late to order the Mead :(
I'll bring choccies for all of course but perhaps you have some special requests...

Tue, August 7, 2007 - 3:54 PMI think those are called "Stroopwaffeln"
At least in the Netherlands, they're called that.
I've actually seen them in Trader Joe's before.

Re: Anything wanted from England?
Tue, August 7, 2007 - 2:03 PMLast time you brought a sampler basket of candy bars over to Tapandy and Manpan's, there was one bar that resembled a Mounds. It had dark chocolate and coconut but it tasted far better than a Mounds. Unfortunately I can't remember what it was called.
If you could bring a couple of those with you, that would be great. :) <slurp>
I hope we get a chance to visit after you fly in but before you leave for BM. -

Re: Anything wanted from England?
Wed, August 8, 2007 - 1:07 PMWoah! Um let me reply to everyone..
Stroopenwaffelen or whatever they're called do not sound familiar to me, i think they are a Dutch thing.
Dr Dave, I'll bring you something tasty that resembles mounds...
Mead - get Amy on it and I'll bring some. If she can get me some contact info then I can get this thing under way.
Me - um, I have to bring me
George - I'm trying. He's got a mission to earn a bucket of money in a week! He believes he'll do it though :)
Sweeties - I'll bring some English penny sweets to share and some to give away at the burn.
If I can't get hold of some mead I'll bring my favourite quintessential English summertime drink - Pimms. Do you remember it from last year? We serve it with mint and slices of apple and lime and cucumber and sometimes strawberries in it. That just might do the trick :)
Anything else? -

Re: Anything wanted from England?
Wed, August 8, 2007 - 1:13 PMOops, i forgot about Manchester United. I don't think I can bring the whole team but perhaps I can persuade a few with some blow jobs... oops, sorry, not my idiom. I'll, um, see what I can do... -

Re: Anything wanted from England?
Wed, August 8, 2007 - 2:12 PMIf you can't bring the team, just bring the jobs... oh wait, wrong idiom. Nevermind.
We'll be happy to see you anyways :)

Re: Anything wanted from England?
Wed, August 8, 2007 - 3:28 PMOh well I will just have to come over to England and see if I can persuade them myself... I think my guy might object to me doing any kind of job with them though ::smile:: I haven't been since my trip in 2005 I have a cousin that lives in Luton -
-
Re: Anything wanted from England?
Wed, August 8, 2007 - 3:37 PMCome over and visit with your man, we can compare jobs oops, wrong idiom again. We can hang out and talk about football versus rugby (rugby players have nicer thighs I think). -
-
Re: Anything wanted from England?
Thu, August 9, 2007 - 12:24 PMYeah but rugby players aren't as pretty... their faces get all smashed up like a boxer... broke noses and such...
