I'll be available for some small part of the day to heat-and-bend rebar for stakes.

I expect most of you that want them already have rebar stakes.

But for anyone who would like some new ones, get yerself some 1/2 inch rebar (Home Depot, OSH, etc) and bring it to the FUNraiser. I recommend 4-foot lengths which we can then cut into pairs of 2 foot pieces with nice sharp wedges on one end. (I cut my 4-foot pieces in the middle at a sharp angle, like ==============\\===============) Then we'll heat it up with my MAPP gas torch and bend them by hand to make check-mark shapes.

I'll bring my torch, a bimetal hack saw (hopefully Jack will bring his jigsaw with metal blades) and work gloves.

I welcome stake recommendations from any more experienced benders!

What time do you want us to congregate/invade/flock/whatever-chickens-do?

I'll bring some wine. I have just (1 gal) a little bit left over from my research and I'll bring some of my stuff I made last year.

6:30 pm is a good time to shoot for - although it's really flexible.

I'll be there all day - 10am until at least midnight - working on the dome and lighting - show up early or late - bring a project if you want to work on it, or just jump in and help on whatever else is going on.
