With so few chickens so far, I think it might be best if we leave the dome and instead build a courtyard with the tents & barns. Rig a shade up over the middle of the camp. Last year a lot of the socializing wasn't in the dome but in various barns. Thoughts? Opinions?

    I love the dome!! It seemed from last year that the costco barns did not hold up too well in the storms, or was that just Superdan and Julie's?
    I'm up for a barn or two but could they be attached to the dome? I like the dome...

      I like the dome too. It's cool and we put a lot of work into making those covers. We just need to find someone to carry it up and back (it weighs about 200 lbs) and 2 tall ladders to set it out/tear it down. Shipping it up with Bryce didn't work last year. It has to go up with someone who is part of the camp and wants to stay till Sunday.

    This is from some random chicken who has been WAAAAAAAAAAY out of the loop (2,000 miles or so, from the SoCal loop, at least), but I have a question (Ill-informed as it may be)... Where is Mr. Mark on this list? Isn't he the rooster in this coop? I love him and his Utili-kilt so much, please tell me he's still a friend of the feather! Is being a sushi Jedi keeping him from going home? Or is it just assumed that Fearless Leader shall be there? Help a wayward stray out here!!!

      As of Wednesday night, Mark wasn't planning to go this year. He had to miss last year as well. Yep, he will be missed.

      However.... in 2005 we talked him into going at the last minute.
