Thank you to Chip and Linda for providing their lattice dome for use as camp kitchen again. We will be bringing the large table for the kitchen area that we used last year.

Re: Kitchen Dome
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 5:00 PMI guess Mark stepping out means we will not have his awesome grill this year. I could borrow a large charcoal Webber grill from my Dad if you folks think we need a grill in the kitchen. Or maybe someone else has a gas grill that could be brought up.
What seems more likely is that we will have to go with just camp stoves this year.

For a camp our size, I think we should plan to have 2 grills available.

Re: Kitchen Dome
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 5:52 PMWell, I can get my hands on a big charcoal grill if we really need it.. I don't really have much in the way of camping kitchen supplies otherwise. Most of our food is precooked and bagged in single servings and just heats up in a frying pan.

Re: Kitchen Dome
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 10:12 PMCharcoal is a real cleanup issue.
This would include packaging old coals and bringing them home?
can charcoal be dumped in burn barrels?
but it would certainly beat not having any grill.
The search for the Holly Grill!

Re: Kitchen Dome
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 11:37 PMWe don't have a gas grill but planned to bring a small one burner proprane stove and a small charcoal weber. We will take our ashes home with us. If you wet the ashes down and let them dry into clods they are easier to take home than a bag of dust. A theory from Bob that we'll be testing out...
